Fantastic Friday: Don't Complain, Just Work Harder

"Too many people go through life complaining about their problems. I've always believed that if you took one-tenth the energy you put into complaining and applied it to solving the problem, you'd be suprised by how well things can work out." - from The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

I don't normally watch TV during the day because I am supposed to be working. But, for some reason I turned on the TV a couple of months ago and saw this on Oprah:

I am now reading the book The Last Lecture and highly recommend it!

I vowed that I would stop complaining this year! Sometimes it seems like too much of what I talk about is negative - either with friends, family or my kids. Everybody is stuck on what's driving us crazy, high prices, fighting kids, too hot, too cold, etc etc. I kinda lost a little of that positive attitude in the spring, then got it back after my surgery. It's like a roller coaster. Time to re-focus and make sure I'm the one that keeps conversations positive when my friends start complaining and not jumping on that bandwagon.

Yes, I have to get the book too:)
